Greg Land and Con sketches

I always wondered if Greg Land actually attended Cons and did Con sketches. If he does does he sit there with magazines to reference from? I’ve found some of these sketches he’s done on Comic Art Fans: Holy sexism, Batman! Pouty faces and Hip:Shoulder fails again! However, these faces are slightly different to each other which is a real step forwards.
